Opening hours
Here you will find all information about our opening times, how to reach us by telephone and how to organize appointments. Our orthopedic practice is located at Dorotheenstrasse 48, 22301 Hamburg (Winterhude). Please note: Office hours can change depending on appointments, training or public holidays. You can see the currently available dates live at Doctolib at any time.
Current office hours and appointment times
We mainly work in appointment consultation hours. This allows us to plan sufficient time for anamnesis, examination and information and reduce waiting times for all patients.
- Monday to Thursday: 08:00-13:00 and 14:00-18:00. Friday: 08:00-13:00, closed in the afternoon.
- Early and late appointments are available subject to availability – please check Doctolib.
- Short-term changes (e.g. further training, illness) are communicated via Doctolib and the answering machine.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of the appointment so that formalities (e.g. scanning your insurance card) can be completed in good time.
Telephone availability
Our team can be reached by phone during practice hours. Outside of our availability hours, you can leave us a message on the answering machine - we will call you back as soon as possible.
- If there is a high volume of calls, please use Doctolib as an alternative for booking and changing appointments.
- Please do not report medical emergencies by email, but use the emergency numbers (see below).
- For prescription or transfer requests, please note the information in the “Prescriptions & Transfers” section.
Acute appointments and urgent matters
In the case of acute complaints (e.g. sudden joint or back pain, recent sprains), we try to facilitate short-term acute appointments. We cannot give a guarantee due to capacity reasons.
- Check Doctolib for short-term free slots.
- Call us and briefly describe your concerns - we will check whether and when a prompt introduction is possible.
- In the event of serious injuries, symptoms of numbness or paralysis, or severe pain at rest, please contact the emergency room or the rescue service (112) immediately.

Prescriptions, prescriptions and referrals
Follow-up prescriptions and referrals can – if medically appropriate and indicated – be issued according to the file. In some cases, a further short medical consultation is necessary.

- Collection: Documents can be collected during opening hours; If necessary, bring a power of attorney with you if someone else picks up.
- Physio/ergo/medical prescriptions: Please note the deadlines for starting treatment (usually 28 days from the date of issue).

- Please plan some buffer for acute presentations.
- Let us know in good time if you will be late - we will try to plan your appointment as best as possible.
- If waiting times are foreseeable, our team will offer alternatives where possible (e.g. later slot on the same day).
